1-thanks for the wonderful tones, sound and movement you’ve brought into this world over the years…truly you are an inspiration! Thank you~
2- My son and I played a few LSL CV’s- FANTASTIC!! I am a tone junkie as well and was wondering what you thought of Bluesman Vintage Sedans (’62 Strat)- I heard you were at their booth at NAMM or some show last year- how do they stack up tonally with your signature series (which I KNOW is awesome!) I can at this point only get 1 awesome Strat-style, and want the best overtones, presence and depth my ears can afford!! I understand the subjectivity of it all, but brother, you’re renowned for your sonic discernment- anything?
Thanks for the nice compliments. You made my day! As far as your question goes, I played so many guitars at NAMM I honestly don’t remember that Bluesman Vintage Sedans (’62 Strat). If I hung out at the booth for any length of time I probably enjoyed it! The LsL has what you’re looking for in terms of presence and overtones as far as I can tell, because the pickups have the same output as my ’61 Strat. Not too big, but just big enough. The LsL has a bit more highs than my ’61, but I find it easier to take away highs than to artificially add them.
I hope that helps, good luck!
Carl
